 H.E. Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority (NAA) and Chair of the Government Working Group for Borsedth District of Kampong Speu Province, presided over the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the inauguration of the N36 concrete bridge at Mral Tnaoth Village on June 25, 2023.
H.E. Heng Sok Kong, First Vice Chair of the Government Working Group for Borsedth was also in attendance, along with other leaders from the NAA, the Government Working Group for Borsedth and officials from relevant departments of the Royal Government. There were also 200 people from Poh Mreal Commune and 100 people from Pheary Meanchey Commune in attendance.

Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority and Chair of the Government Working Group for Borsedth District of Kampong Speu Province, presided over a meet and greet ceremony and presented medals to 602 veterans at Wat Borsedth Chas or Old Borsedth Pagoda on Tuesday, June 20 and Wednesday, June 21, 2023. The ceremony was also attended by Excellencies, Lok Chumteavs, the Governor of Borsedth District, and other relevant government officials.

Pe ...read more » The National AIDS Authority (NAA) held its 1st plenary meeting of 2023, under the chairmanship of H.E. Ieng Mouly. The NAA's 1st plenary meeting was held for a full morning on June 15, 2023, at the Friendship Building of the Office of the Council of Ministers. Leaders from the NAA, the chairs of the HIV/AIDS committees from all ministries, institutions in both capitals and provinces, international organizations, and civil society organizations attended the meeting, with a total of 162 people in participation.

The Kingdom of Cambodia is promoting a unified national movement to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and achieve the 95-95-95 targets by 2025. Dr. Chan Narith, Undersecretary of State from the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Secretary General of the National Social Protection Council (NSPC) in the support of a successful HIV response on April 13, 2023. H.E. Tia Phalla and H.E. Ros Seilavath, Vice Chairs of the NAA also attended the meeting.
The meeting examined a number of intervention barriers in responding to HIV/AIDS among key populations, including sex workers and homosexual men. These intervention barriers must be removed in order to achieve the successful control of HIV spreading, in particular, achieving the first 95% goal through detecting more than 10,000 undiagnosed people living with HIV.
