The National AIDS Authority's Working Group Meeting
H.E. Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority (NAA), chaired a meeting to examine and review the contents of the policy to end HIV/AIDS by 2025 and the sustainability of the AIDS program for 2023-2028. The meeting was held on the morning of Friday, June 9, 2023 at 9 A.M.
The meeting was attended by leaders of the NAA:
• H.E., Dr. Tia Phalla, Deputy Director of the National AIDS Authority
• H.E., Dr. Hor Bunleng, Deputy Director of the National AIDS Authority
• H.E., Dr. Ros Seilavath, Deputy Director of the National AIDS Authority
• H.E., Dr. Lan Vanseng, Advisor to the National AIDS Authority
• H.E., Dr. Chhim Khindareth, Secretary General of the National AIDS Authority
• H.E., Dr. Suth Thongphan, Chief of Cabinet to Senior Minister, Chair of the National AIDS Authority
• H.E., Sorn Chan Virak, Advisor to the National AIDS Authority
The discussion was as follows:
• Review and revise the draft of Ending AIDS policy
• The HIV/AIDS situation in Cambodia
• The comprehensive and multidisciplinary response to HIV and AIDS
• The prioritization of the End of AIDS in Cambodia by 2025
H.E. Senior Minister provided key recommendations, such as to review the contents of the HIV infection rate figures, the sub-decree on the organization and functions of the National AIDS Authority, the Royal decree to announcing the implementation of the law on the Prevention and Control of HIV/AIDS, and on the prevention methods to cut off the spread of HIV and AIDS.
