Cases of HIV transmission in Roka Village, Roka Commune, Sangke District, Battambang Province

Question: Recently a question was raised regarding cases of HIV transmission in Roka Commune, Sangke District. If transmission took place more than 3 or 4 years ago, why did the National AIDS Authority just  take action, why not take measures 3 or 4 years earlier?   Answer: Even if transmission occurred 3 or 4 years ago, if we didn’t  test for HIV, we do not know that people have contracted HIV, as infected people are like everyone else.Onlyby HIV testing can transmission be revealed. When people are infected by HIV, CD4 cells can be counted and then it can be confirmed how long ago the case of HIV transmission took place or if it is recently contracted. National AIDS Authority’s Top Management Meeting

In the afternoon of February 2nd, 2015, at the National AIDS Authority’s Headquarters a Top Management Meeting was organized.
