 Senior Minister for Special Mission Ieng Mouly, Chairman of National Aids Authority, says about 14% of almost 30,000 Cambodian sex workers in the country live with HIV/AIDS.
The remark was made in an interview with SEATV at NAA's office on Tuesday afternoon of February 4, 2014.
HE Ieng Mouly outlines that NAA in cooperation with development partners in AIDS sector and relevant ministries and institutions are currently paying much attention to the three most risky groups to HIV/AIDS. The groups are female workers in entertainment (sex) service sector, male homosexuals and drug users with drug injection.

Monthly leadership meeting of NAA is held under the chairmanship of HE Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chairman of NAA in order to hear January's progress report by the general-secretariat and to discuss a retreat plan.
The meeting of January 29, 2014 were participated by HE Vice-Chairmen, Advisers, Director General, Deputy Director Generals, and Directors of Departments of NAA.
The meeting focused mainly on the retreat plan which will take place in early February this year. On January 27, 2014, at the Senate, H.E. Ms. Men Sam An, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Relations with National Assembly (NA), Senate and Inspection presided over a consultative meeting on mechanism to formulate national policy to control alcohol consumption.
The meeting was organized by the 8th Senate Committee with assistance from IOGT. 120 representatives of National Assembly, Government, Academic and Civil Societies organizations participated in the meeting.

On January 16, 2014, at the Ministry of Health, there was a meeting of the Country Coordinating Committee of the Global Fund to elect a new chairman of the CCC for the new mandate 2014-2015, in replacement of the outgoing chair, Dr. Tia Phalla whose term has ended.
The composition of the CCC is as follows: six representatives of the government sectors, four representatives of the donors and 10 representatives of civil society, private sectors and key affected by people.
Senior Minister Ieng Mouly was elected with 15 votes Yes, 1 vote No and 4 Votes Abstention.
Once elected, the new chair of the CCC took his new responsibility by presiding over the meeting according to agreed upon agenda.

On January 15, 2014, at the Ministry of Health, Deputy Prime Minister Yim Chhayly, Chairman of the Council for Agriculture and Rural Development accompanied by Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chairman of the National AIDS Authority presided over a meeting of health officials to make public a new government directive for a close cooperation between public and private sector working together for the well-being of the Cambodian People.

On January 13, 2014, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and H.E Nguyen Tan Dung, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam presided over the inauguration ceremony of Cho Ray Hospital in Chhbar Ampouw, Phnom Penh.
The Construction of the Phnom Penh Cho Ray hospital cost 42 Million US Dollars. It covers 1 hectare of building and 5 hectares of land.

On January 10, 2014, at NAA headquarters, at 14:00, Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority (NAA) met Dr. Pieter Van Maaren, WHO Representative to Cambodia for a courtesy call after the NAA Chair’s official appointment in October 2013. The NAA Chair, after welcoming the Representative visit, informed the latter of the seven point policy directives of the Royal Government dated December 17, 2013. One of those points stated that the NAA has leading roles on aid effectiveness and bears the responsibility for a nationwide HIV and AIDS response.
