On December 9, 2014, H. E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chairman of the NAA and Vice-Chairman of the National Task Force Assisting Kampong Speu province presided over a Quarterly Meeting in Boseth District, Kampong Speu province. Also participating were Excellencies, ladies, gentlemen and Vice-Chairpersons of the Task Force, the top management team of the NAA, local authorities, and relevant provincial departments of Kampong Speu.

 

After welcoming and expressing his thanks to local authorities, H. E. Senior Minister asked the  District Chief and all the 15 Commune Chiefs in the district to report on challenges and suggestions which have been  be raised in Bosaeth. H. E. Senior Minister reviewed the suggestions raised in the reports and asked the local authority to respond in detail. After receiving permission from the Senior Minister, the Director of the Provincial Department of Water Resources explained  the solutions to the issues and suggestions that the local people had raised during the Public Forum in connection with water resources such as dams, water gates and ditches, etc.

 

H. E. Senior Minister stressed from previous experience, inviting directors of provincial departments to explain to the local people in Public Forum about how to solve problems gained favorable results.  So, we should  invite the directors of provincial departments as much as we can to join us in our future forums

 

Finally, H. E. Senior Minister recommended that the district/commune work harder in order to solve problems in accordance with the suggestions and  hold the meetings more frequently and regularly. They should submit the proposals to seek assistance at provincial or national levels.

 

The meeting was ended in  friendship and an enjoyable atmosphere.
