On November 27, 2014, a World AIDS Day gathering was held at Chaktomuk Conference Hall in Phnom Penh under the chairmanship of H. E. Gen. Ke Kimyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the National Authority for Combating Drug, high representative of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Around 500 people including Secretaries of State, Under-Secretaries of State and representatives of relevant ministries, representatives of the armed forces, civil society, monks, nuns and youth were among the participants.
After the national anthem, H. E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chairman of the National AIDS Authority delivered his speech by mentioning on the state of fighting against AIDS in Cambodia and achievements that have been made during this year.
H. E. Gen. Ke Kimyan congratulated on the success that Cambodia have gained so far and recommended that the NAA and National and Sub-national authorities must further implement toward the 3.0 goals‒Zero new HIV infection, Zero discrimination and Zero AIDS-related death.
