The PMER Department is a technical support body to NAA secretariat. It is led by a Director of the Department and three Deputy Directors of the Department as Assistants.
The PMER Department has four offices as technical support body:
The Planning Office
1. The Monitoring and Evaluation Office
2. The Survey and Research Office
3. The Information Management Office
The PMER Department has its core role and responsibility to implement the national policy and strategy on planning, monitoring, evaluation and research adopted by the NAA leaders and has specific roles and responsibilities in leading, managing and coordinating the following tasks:
1. Prepare the national strategic plan for comprehensive and multi-sectoral response to HIV and AIDS in every five years.
2. Prepare the national action plan for comprehensive and multi-sectoral response to HIV and AIDS on yearly basis.
3. Prepare the national action plan for monitoring and evaluation of the national comprehensive and multi-sectoral response to HIV and AIDS on yearly basis.
4. Prepare the national guideline on monitoring and evaluation of the national comprehensive and multi-sectoral response to HIV and AIDS.
5. Organize training, workshop to build capacity on planning and monitoring and evaluation.
6. Prepare the national research agenda on HIV and AIDS.
7. Prepare progress, effectiveness and achievement report on HIV and AIDS response to the Royal Government of Cambodia and to the UN
8. Develop message, newsletter, and published documents as tool for advocacy and public dissemination
9. Update and upgrade the NAA website
