His Excellency Senior Minister Ieng Mouly Chairs second plenary meeting 2015 of the National AIDS Authority
Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority and of the Coordinating Committee of the Global Fund for Cambodia, presided over the second plenary meeting 2015 of the National AIDS Authority at the Council of Ministers Office conference hall in the morning, on November 11, 2015. Participating in the meeting were Excellencies, Lok Chumteav, ladies, and gentlemen Secretaries of State and UnderSecretaries of State, representing the institutions members of the National AIDS Authority, Chairs of capital and provincial AIDS committees, top managers and officials of the National AIDS Authority, Heads of capital and provincial AIDS secretariats, and Representatives of the United Nations, development partners, and civil society, The meeting reviewed the results achieved and impediments taking place over the last six months, gave official approval of the National Strategic Plan, and considered and approved key political objectives towards sustainability in the effective response to the spread of HIV. It should be recalled that the Kingdom of Cambodia has resolved to join the United Nations to achieve the immense ambition of eradicating new AIDS transmission in 2020 through moving towards achieving the strategic 90-90-90 targets:
1) 90% of people carrying HIV are aware of their HIV status.
2) 90% of people diagnosed with HIV receive antiretroviral treatment constantly.
3) 90% of all the people on treatment with antiretroviral will be found to have suppressed HIV from their bloodstream, and it is guaranteed that no one will be left without care and treatment.
