On June 25, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. at the National AIDS Authority Head Office, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of H.E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority.
The composition of the meeting consisted of 29 Their Excellencies and Lok Chumteav, Vice Chairs of NAA; Their Excellencies Secretary General, Deputy Secretaries General, and Chiefs of Department. The objectives of this meeting included:
Monthly progress report of the Secretariat General.
Report on the implementation of the Global Fund program.
Preparation for the plenary meeting of the National AIDS Authority to be held on June 30, 2015.
Other Business.
In the beginning, His Excellency Senior Minister and Chair of the meeting welcomed all the leaders in attendance who have exerted efforts in doing good works and achieving successes.

Report on the Global Fund program implementation (by H.E. Tia Phala)
Detailed proposed budget plan for the period from October 2015 to December 2017 (SR-National AIDS Authority). The plan consists of 45 activities for implementation by four departments and has spent a budget of US$296,287.
Issues pertaining to human resources,staffs, and sustainable response to AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria as well as to the strengthening of the health system in the aid projects of the Global Fund (Sustainability of Response to Malaria, TB, HIV and HSS In Term of Human Resource and Staffing.)
The 4th National Strategic Plan on AIDS Control (NSPIV), including six strategies for the period between 2015 and 2020.
Long-term support for Roka commune.
Preparations for the National AIDS Authority’s plenary session to be held on June 30 (by H.E. Dr. Teng Kunthy).
In the end, His Excellency Senior Minister offered the meeting the following recommendations:
Reminder of the authority’s roles: policy issuer, coordinator, assessor, and controller. Therefore, budget management should be conducted according to these roles.
Previously allocated duties will be adjusted in line with concrete situation, referring to the national strategic plan and seven-point policy.
Every meeting should draw comparison with objectives determined according to indicators.
To monitor the progress of works set as 2015 goal.
Review the Authority’s duties as defined in the law on AIDS, pertaining to the point on standards of AIDS prevention during normal, dental, and cosmetic operations and so forth.
Reminder of Cambodia’s candidacy for the organization of ICAAP (International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific).
Administrative formalities to be observed in the course of mission performance, such as reports and other documents that should be submitted to the administration in a timely fashion.
Information technology work/email of the Authority that should be used officially.
Cases of those detained at Prey Speu detention center.
Social sector consists of such as milled rice offered to AIDS victims.
Strengthening work efficiency and internal discipline.
To conclude, His Excellency Senior Minister, chair of the meeting, expressed thanks and commendation once again to his colleagues for having taken part in coordinating today’s work of the National AIDS Authority.He wished the leading officials of the National AIDS Authority good health and new, still greater successes and declared the meeting closed at 11:30 a.m. on the same morning in the most pleasant and warm atmosphere.
