H. E. Ieng Mouly, Senior Minister and Chairman of NAA Presides over the 68th Country Coordination Committee Meeting of the Global Fund

On October 9, 2014, H.E. Ieng Mouly, Senior Minister, Chairman of NAA and Chairman of CCC presided over the 68th CCC meeting of the Global Fund.
 
The  members of the CCC were composd of representatives of involved Ministries of the Royal Government of Cambodia, representatives of the United Nations—WHO, UNAIDS, etc., development partners—representatives of the German, French and USA Embassies, civil society—non-governmental organizations involved in the fight against AIDS, TB and Malaria, representatives of the key affected people, representatives of higher educational institutions and the  private sector.
 
The agenda of the meeting was:
  1. Introduction:
    1. Review and endorse Minutes from the previous CCC meeting
    2. Declaration of the Conflict of Interest by CCC members
  2. Draft concept note for Malaria:
    1. Presentation of CN by CN Writing Team and Q&A:
      1. CCC Endorsement of CN.
      2. CCC Endorsement for Implementation Arrangement.
    2. PR Selection for Malaria CN, process and result:
      1. CCC Endorsement of PR for Malaria
    3. Summary of Country Dialogue used for Malaria CN (brief testimony)
    4. Brief update on the RAI grant, after recent RSC meeting.
  3. Update on pending concept notes:
    1. HIV steering committee update.
    2. HSS steering committee update.
  4. CCC Guidance on CN budgeting:
    1. Review of GF guidelines/requirements.
    2. Presentation of Proposed approach.
  5. Oversight committee report:
    1. Status of key PR deliverables (PUDRs, Audit Report, etc.)
    2. Update on TB Grant Making.
  6. Other business.
 
The  members  voted in favor of the Malaria CN as follows: 12 Yes, 2 No and 1 Abstain. Meanwhile, the  members have voted in favor of UNOPs PR selection as follows: 9 Yes, 1 No and 5 Abstain.
 
To conclude the meeting, H.E. Senior Minister expressed his thanks to all participants from relevant ministries in the Royal Government of Cambodia, UN, development partners, civil society and key affected population who have made essential contributions and been actively involved so far.
