The participants in that meeting composed of Ms. Nicole Delaney and her 2 colleagues, representatives of the Global Fund, Members of the Executive Committee of CCC, Representatives of WHO, representative of the Ministry of Health, Representatives of US, France and German Embassies, and representatives of Global Fund recipients.

 

The agenda of the meeting were as follows:

1.      The New Funding Model: Update – Cambodia presented by Ms. Nicole Delaney

2.      Question and answer session.

 

Ms. Nicole Delaney presented the New Funding Model: Update - Cambodia of the Global Fund by focusing on Cambodia’s allocation 2014-2017 in which the agreed upon budgets for HIV was $75.3 million, TB was $15.6 million, malaria was $49.3 million and HSS was $8.5 million. So the total budget for the next 3 years would be $148.8 million.

 

Ms. Nicole Delaney also stressed on keeping 15% of the accessible fund based on willingness-to-pay in which the above-mentioned amount will be released when the Royal Government of Cambodia increases the budget of public health up to $5.5 million.

 

H.E. Senior Minister highlighted on the delay in providing fund. For instance, one semester has already lost for this fiscal year when the Global Fund did not yet sign off the training project.

 

Before concluding her presentation, Ms. Nicole Delaney raised an idea on the Global Fund Regional Meeting in Phnom Penh in mid-June.
