H.E. Ieng Mouly, Senior Minister and Chairman of NAA Presides over a Selective Policy Board Meeting on Global AIDS Response Progress Reporting of Multiple Field Responses to HIV/AIDS Epidemic in Cambodia 2014
On March 24, 2014, at NAA’s Headquarters, H.E. Ieng Mouly, Senior Minister and Chairman of NAA presided over a Selective Policy Board Meeting on Global AIDS Response Progress Reporting of Multiple Field Responses to HIV/AIDS Epidemic in Cambodia in 2014.
Since the initiation of MDG in 2000, Cambodia has sent progress report on the responses to HIV/AIDS epidemic to the UN in every two years. Since then, five reports have been sent and the last one was made in March 2012, H.E. Chairman said.
Department of Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Research of NAA would deliver its presentation on progress report of the 10 goals on 32 indicators in which Cambodia committed to implement the 3.0 goal initiated by the UN since 2011. To achieve the above-mentioned 3.0 goal—no new infection, no discrimination and no death, five National Strategic Plan Working Groups would be set up to implement the Seven-point policy of the Royal Government of Cambodia under the wise leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia which serve as a road map in responding to HIV/AIDS from the perspectives of target groups and sphere of responsibility, H.E. Chairman elaborated.
H.E. Senior Minister recommended the gathering that every piece of involved information and data should be processed through evaluating in order to conclude in finding balance and common sense among participants. As it was clearly seen, unity in one voice nationally is the strength that nothing can match.
