Senior Minister Ieng Mouly Presides Over the 6th Consultation Workshop on Comprehensive and Multi-Sector Strategic Plan for HIV/AIDS
H.E. Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority (NAA), presided over the 6th Consultation Workshop on the Preparation of the Sixth National Comprehensive Strategic Plan for HIV/AIDS (2024-2028) on the morning of Thursday, October 19, 2023. This workshop was attended by Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen, Representatives of Government Institutions, Civil Society Organizations, and People Living with HIV. H.E. Ieng Mouly thanked Ms. Patricia Ongpin, Country Director for UNAIDS Cambodia, Lao PDR and Malaysia, for technical support in raising the strategic vision of HIV/AIDS in Cambodia, the strategic direction, advocacy, and facilitation to promote and connect leadership in government institutions with development partners and communities to provide life-saving services for HIV/AIDS in the past decade.
Senior Minister Ieng Mouly also thanked the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the LHSS project for strengthening the HIV/AIDS response system to be more efficient, effective, and sustainable.
The Chair of the NAA also recommended three important points for everyone to examine:
1. Review the achievements of joint efforts.
2. Rebalance challenges or risks and opportunities.
3. Recalibrate by reviewing strategies to accelerate the response and achieve goals quickly by redefining the new priority actions that we will have to be done in the next five years.
