Meeting on the Policy to End AIDS by 2025 and the Sustainability of the AIDS program for 2023-2028

H.E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority (NAA), held a leadership meeting to review the progress of the policy to End AIDS by 2025 and the Sustainability of the AIDS program for 2023-2028, on the morning of September 13, 2023 at 9 a.m. The Vice-Chairs, Advisors, and Secretary General of the NAA were in attendance.

The leadership meeting focused on reviewing the progress made after having received new insights from the wide-ranging discussions in the Stakeholder’s Forum on policy-making, which took place on August 8, 2023. This forum had the participation of ministries, departments, national and international NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders.

After exchanging views, H.E. Senior Minister recommended that the Technical Working Group re-evaluate the draft policy, separating policy statements from strategic or actionable plans. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly also advised for the clear division of tasks according to each policy, where each leader is responsible. Another meeting will be held again next week to review the progress of this policy.
