The National AIDS Authority's Management Leadership Meeting of June 2023

The National AIDS Authority (NAA) held the Management Leadership Meeting, with the participation of senior NAA members, on Wednesday, July 3, 2023 at 9 A.M., under the chairmanship of His Excellency Ieng Mouly, Chair of the NAA.

The meeting had the agenda as follows:

1. Presentation of the work results report for June and the work direction for July 2023 by H.E., Dr. Chhim Khindareth, Secretary General of the NAA
2. Report on the outcomes of the Program Coordinating Board meeting in Switzerland by H.E., Dr. Tia Phalla, Vice Chair of the NAA
3. Remarks by H.E. Ieng Mouly

The remarks were as follows:

1. Gratitude to the leaders and officials of the NAA for working hard for the past 10 years under the leadership of H.E. Chair
2. The internal unity and solidarity of everyone in the NAA, which has allowed the NAA to achieve major accomplishments in the response to HIV/AIDS at both the national and international levels
3. The NAA's role in bringing Cambodia international recognition as Chair of the Coordinating Committee for Cambodia (CCC), as a member of the Global Fund Board, Chair of The Asia-Pacific on HIV and AIDS, and as the UNAIDS Program Coordinating Board
4. Achievement of the first 95 target (95% of all people living with HIV to know their HIV status) in at least four areas (Phnom Penh, Battambang, Siem Reap, and Banteay Meanchey) through implementing the Fast Track Cities Initiative to accelerate the response to HIV/AIDS
5. The preparation of the sub-decree on the measures to prevent and control the transmission of HIV through equipment, supplies, and medical waste and the policy to End AIDS by 2025 and the Sustainability of the AIDS program for 2023-2028
6. The strengthening of the NAA's leadership in all positions with increased work performance, accountability, the ability to take initiative, and independently think and act without needing to take orders from leaders
7. The National AIDS Authority's role of leading, facilitating, and resolving issues raised by members and relevant organizations.
