Senior Minister Ieng Mouly Presided over a Commemorative Ceremony of 7 January Victory in Pearang district

 

On January 7, 2014, in Pearang district of Prey Veng province, Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority in his capacity as the Representative of Deputy Prime Minister Bin Chhin, presided over a commemorative ceremony of January 7.  It was the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the January 7 victory. Vice-Chairs of NAA, Kao Try and Kong Rotha, Pearang District Long Thath as well as a dozen of district personalities were also present at the ceremony. 470 representatives of youth, civil servants and representatives of armed forces and police participated in the celebration.  After hearing the welcome speech by the District Governor, Senior Minister Ieng Mouly read the speech of Samdech Akka Moha Thamma Pothisal Chea Sim, President of the Senate and Chairman of the CPP, addressed to the Mass Meeting on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the January 7 victory. It was a message of gratitude to the memory of heroic combatants who made utmost sacrifice to liberate the Cambodian people from the genocidal regime of Pol Pot.
