
The National AIDS Authority held its Management Team Meeting, chaired by H.E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 3 pm.
The meeting was attended by His Excellencies, Permanent Vice Chair, Vice Chairs, Advisors, Secretary General, Chief of Cabinet, and Director of Admin/Finance Department.
The meeting agenda proceeded as follows:
1. Welcome key note speech by H.E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly,
2. The first Technical Advisory Board Meeting preparation on January 27,2023, focusing on the study of the procedures for providing social protection to key populations.
3. Budget allocation preparation of both National budget and Global Fund ( GF ATM ) for 2024.
4. Organizing the official meeting of the inter-ministerial technical working group to formulate the HIV/AIDS ending Policy in 2025 and the sustainability of the HIV/AIDS program for 2023-2028, which is scheduled for the morning of January 24, 2023.
5. Comments made by H.E the Senior Minister.
As the result, the Senior Minister made the following recommendations:
. The Technical Advisory Board should study and clearly identify the key population numbers, especially the key homeless mobile population as well as the relevant procedures and legal documents for the provision of social protection to the key population.
. Staring from 2024, the national budget should be prepared by participating in defense meetings with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, like other ministries and institutions at both the technical and political levels.
. The new round of Global Fund (GF ATM ) Project, the National AIDS Authority must be ready to act as the LIT for the HIV/AIDS Program.
. Preparation for the HIV/AIDS ending Policy in 2025 and the sustainability of the HIV/AIDS program for 2023-2028, after the Official Meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Technical Working Group chaired by HE Senior Minister on January 24, 2023 . The chairman of the inter-ministerial technical working group and the core working group may convene the members of the meeting according to their respective roles.
