Senior Minister His Excellency Ieng Mouly Leads Western Pacific Region Constituency Consultation on Global Fund Strategy Development
Senior Minister HE Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority and member of the Global Fund Board, led the Western Pacific Region Constituency’s BlueJeans video conference consultation on Global Fund Strategy Development in the afternoon of Thursday, August 6, 2020, from 1 to 4.15 pm.
The consultation was participated by Lady Roslyn Morauta, vice-chair of the Global Fund Board; Eamonn Murphy, director of the UNAIDS for Asia and the Pacific; Dr. Vladanka Andreeva, director of the UNAIDS to Cambodia; Dr. Rodel Nodora, representative of the World Health Organization for the Western Pacific, and Dr. Jim Tulloch, member of the Global Fund Strategy Committee. Also participating were Excellencies, ladies, and gentlemen, the directors and representatives the Global Fund’s Coordination Mechanisms for the Western Pacific in Cambodia, China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Nauru, Vanuatu, the Global Fund Strategy Team, and top NAA managers, with 30 accounts equal to around 40 participants.
The meeting agenda is as follows:
1) Welcoming speech by Senior Minister HE Ieng Mouly, NAA Chair and member of the GF Board.
2) Opening speech by Lady Roslyn Morauta, vice-chair of the Global Fund Board,
3) Presentation by Eamonn Murphy, director of the UNAIDS for Asia and the Pacific.
4) Remarks by Dr. Rodel Nodora, representative of the World Health Organization for the Western Pacific.
5) Presentation by Sofia Cordero of the Global Fund Strategy Team.
6) Presentation by Dr. Jim Tulloch.
7) Discussions by honorary and special speakers as follows:
1. HE Prof. Pham Le Tuan, chair of CCM and former vice-minister of Health, Vietnam.
2. Ms. Siula Bulu, chair of the CCM Vanuatu.
