We Have To Work Hard To Serve People for Cambodian People's Party To Continue Long-Term Leadership
Senior Minister His Excellency Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority and Head of the Central Working Group assisting Basedth District, led a meeting to sum up November work results and set targets for December 2019 at the Cambodian People's Party office in Basedth District on the morning of Saturday, November 23, 2019. Some 100 attendees at the meeting were Excellencies, Lok Chumteav, ladies, and gentlemen, heads, deputy heads, and members of working groups assisting the district and communes, as well as members of the district party committee.
After listening to welcoming speech and report made by the acting district party committee head, His Excellency the Senior Minister permitted commune party committees chiefs and representatives to present their views on the general situation and issues occurring in the communes on top of emotional, security, and orderly conditions following November 9. They also raised the issues concerning development and public services.
Prior to concluding the monthly meeting, His Excellency the Senior Minister and all the members approved a draft report, and then he offered the recommendations as follows:
1) The opposition has already been defeated 100% over its scheme to stage the military coup on November 9. At this point in time, they have only two options: either carry on with their outlaw rebel activities or take part in democratically held elections.
2) Regarding the emotional issue, we have to meet with the citizens on a regular basis. We need to explain to the citizens, both supporters and non-supporters, to comprehend that the National Rescue Party will never come back to life.
3) We have to continue caring for the people’s livelihood and their emotions by further strengthening public order.
4) We have to strengthen further the work of nurturing the movement by consolidating the party structure and by organizing regular meetings holding.
5) We have to further consolidate providing the citizens with services and seek their support, but never do anything affecting public property.
6) We have to work strenuously to serve the people in order to win their love and backing as well as a great deal of votes to help our Cambodian People's Party win elections and continue to lead for a long, long time.
