Cambodia’s Reputation for AIDS Work Is Being Elevated in International Arena

Geneva: At the Global Fund Headquarters on November 15, 2019, Senior Minister His Excellency Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority and member of the Global Fund Board for the Western Pacific Region Constituency, continued to give presentation on key points, as representative of the region constituency members, at the 42nd Global Fund Board Meeting attended by representatives from around the world in Geneva, Switzerland on November 12-15, 2019.

During the two-day board meeting, Cambodia was lauded for the achievements we have attained in the work of fighting HIV/AIDS.

Moreover, the Board’s Chair, Dr. Donald Kaberuka, who was visiting Cambodia on October 29-30, too, praised Cambodia in his opening speech as well.

As for some countries, including the representative of the World Health Organization in Africa, they requested to learn from our Cambodia about the multisectoral response to HIV/AIDS work.

Through the acclamation and high evaluation by various members and the whole meeting, our Cambodia’s reputation is being elevated in the international arena.
