Senior Minister His Excellency Ieng Mouly Holds Working Meeting With Dr. Roberto Garcia, Technical Advisor to New Global Fund Grants
Senior Minister His Excellency Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority, held a working meeting with Dr. Roberto Garcia, member of the Global Fund’s Technical Review Team and managing director of the Health Management Support Group in Amsterdam, Nederland, and Dr. Bart Jacobs of GIZ Organization in Cambodia at the authority’s headquarters on the morning of November 7, 2019. Also in attendance at the meeting were top NAA managers and the HP+ technical advisor (Dr. Bhavesh Jain).
The discussion centered on the progress towards the sustainable comprehensive multisectoral action plan on response to the spread of HIV, feasible accountability for seeking funding, fund inflow mechanism for response implementation, the effective prevention of the transmission, and the continuity in executing the policy and strategy of eliminating new HIV transmissions in Cambodia by 2025. Moreover, the discussion mentioned, we require strengthening human resources through training and broad dissemination to communities, with the provision of effective and quality procurement system and information management.
In response, His Excellency the Senior Minister said that the National AIDS Authority has active cooperation and potential mechanism in carrying out tasks along with diverse ministries, institutions, the Cambodian Red Cross, and various partner organizations to introduce measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
