Senior Minister His Excellency Ieng Mouly and National AIDS Authority’s Top Managers and Officials Gather To Commemorate 66th Independence Day and Consume Ambok With Bananas, Coconuts, and Palm Juice Under Slogan, “Khmer Ambok Defends Nation, Religion, and King”

Senior Minister His Excellency Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority, and the authority’s top managers and officials gathered at the National AIDS Authority Headquarters on the afternoon of Saturday, November 9, 2019 to commemorate the 66th November 9 Independence Day, 1953-2019, and consume Ambok (Cambodian rice flakes) with bananas, coconuts, and palm juice, together with their families in an extremely joyful atmosphere under the slogan, “Khmer Ambok Defends Nation, Religion, and King.”
 
He mentioned that the Ambok-Eating Day held on the morning of November 9, 2019 was to commemorate the National Independence Day and to show the citizens’ solidarity in consuming Ambok to protect peace and defend the Nation, Religion, and King as well as remember the achievements of former kings and pay tribute to the soul of the highest revered king, His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Borom Ratanak Kaot Norodom Sihanouk. 
 
His Excellency the Senior Minister asserted that we, citizens, firmly unite and love peace, but resolutely oppose groups that foment disturbance and insecurity, causing annoyance to the people’s livelihood and destruction to peace.
