Senior Minister Ieng Mouly and Senior Minister Chhay Than Hold Meeting to Sum Up Results of Party’s August Work and Set Work Targets for September
Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, member of the Cambodian People's Party Central Committee, vice chair of the Central Working Committee assisting Kampong Speu Province, and president of the Central Working Group assisting Basedth District, attended a meeting to sum up the results of the party’s August work and set work targets for September 2019 held under the presidency of Senior Minister Kette Setha Bandit Chhay Than, permanent member of the CPP Central Committee and president of the Central Working Group assisting Kampong Speu Province at the province’s party office on the morning of September 7, 2019.
Afterwards on that afternoon, Senior Minister Ieng Mouly chaired a meeting to disseminate a report on the general situation of the work in the first half and work targets for the second half 2019 of the CPP Central Committee and another to sum up the Party’s August work results and set work targets for September 2019 at the party office in Kampong Speu Province’s Basedth District.
On that occasion, he said to all the meeting members that the Cambodian People's Party had to win in every election in order to keep leading the country for a long time, with the aim of achieving the Cambodian people’s sacred wish for happiness, peace, safety, and development and the nation’s defined perspective of turning Cambodia into a high middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income nation by 2050.
He added that to ensure reaching the above-mentioned goals, we all, who are members of the Cambodian People's Party, must join hands to implement the party’s political program and strategy successfully by paying constant visit to grassroots party members, especially to those in villages and communes, to respond to their needs in a timely fashion, because the party’s supporting votes reside there.
The Senior Minister stressed that district party, commune party, and village party branches have to clearly comprehend the movement and idea that will lead to chaos in their localities and unite in timely and effective way to thwart the illegal opposition movement and the hope of the former National Rescue Party’s supporters, who expect that their party might come back. Absolutely, it is impossible for this former party, which has already been disbanded by the Supreme Court in caccordance with the Kingdom of Cambodia’s law, to re-emerge. In addition, those who support the unlawful party will bear the same crime whenever they engage in any activities to support it.
He as well advised the district party to fully organize and strengthen the party’s structure according to its statute and join in serving the people to allow them to live a normal life and in daily safety in their villages and communes in response to their request.
