H.E. Kette Setha Bandit Chhay Than and H.E. Ieng Mouly Announce Transfer of Task of Head of Central Working Group Assisting Kampong Speu Province’s Basedth District
His Excellency Kette Setha Bandit Chhay Than, permanent member of the Party Central Committee and head of the working group assisting Kampong Speu Province, and His Excellency Senior Minister Ieng Mouly attended a ceremony to transfer the task of the head of the working group assisting Basedth District for the new mandate at the Cambodian People's Party office in Basedth District on Saturday, July 6, 2019.
Also in attendance at the event were H.E. Yim Sokhom, president of the Provincial Council to hand over the task of the central working group assisting Basedth District; ladies and gentlemen, the heads, deputy heads, and members of the working groups assisting communes in Basedth District, as well as commune and village party chiefs, heads of the high school and health center, armed forces, and representatives of administrative posts.
After Acting District Party Chief Mr. Chhin Sothun presented a welcoming report and read the decision to officially hand over the task of the head of the central working group assisting the district from H.E. Yim Sokhom to H.E. Ieng Mouly, the decision presentation ceremony then took place.
Taking the floor, H.E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly thanked the top leaders of the Cambodian People's Party for their confidence by entrusting him with the task as the head of the central working group assisting Basedth District. Moreover, the Senior Minister also thanked and extolled H.E. Kette Setha Bandit Chhay Than for his efforts in the search for every means to support the provincial party and, specifically, to assist Basedth District in winning successes one after another in the 2018 and 2019 polls.
Furthermore, the Senior Minister also thanked and commended H.E. Yim Sokhom for having constantly helped strengthen the party at all commune and district levels; firmly grasped the situation, be it political, economic, or social, and consolidated solidarity and internal unity, thereby enabling the party to muster votes in a growing number.
Prior to concluding his remarks, the Senior Minister stressed to the district, commune, and village party branches that while the central working group assisting the district was duty-bound to assist only in providing diverse supplementary guidance on promoting the implementation of the party’s political programs and instructions, the performance of core tasks rested on them, which were staying close to party members and people. Should district, commune, and village party officials respond sluggishly to their needs, it is certain that we would be unable to marshal supporting votes for the party everlastingly.
At the get-together, H.E. Kette Setha Bandit Chhay Than said that as H.E. Ieng Mouly is the existing head of the Royal Government’s working group assisting Basedth, so he is entrusted to carry on with the district party’s work outright. The party’s work could not possibly overlook the Royal Government’s, because our party is the ruling one. The provincial strategic working group has considered the task of sharing the work of strengthening the party structure, and the task carried out by H.E. Yim Sokhom has offered capital for his successor, H.E. Ieng Mouly, to render our party more robust. He added that our party has to be strong, otherwise security and peace can never be safeguarded. If age is talked about, our party is already 68 years old. It is already mature.
Our party, currently led by the Royal Government, has offered welfare to the citizens, fulfilled their requests, and provided them with work, wealth, and blissfulness. Samdech Techo has worked very hard to attract investors as well as provided workers with social welfare policy and work conditions and pregnant working women with benefits. Other political parties have no achievement and are devoid of merit. What the opposition is doing is stirring up anger to topple the Royal Government, making use of democracy as pretext to incite disunity. They wreak havoc on the people’s state of mind through Facebook, video clips, and Free Asia Radio. Whenever our mind is weakened, we will eventually lose to the oppositionists.
Before concluding the ceremony, H.E. Kette Setha Bandit Chhay Than recommended that works at both the local and central levels should be undertaken simultaneously to enable the party to remain strong. Attention should also be paid to the party building task, and as for the emotional work, it is also of importance. He recommended that the ladies and gentlemen, the deputy heads and members of the working group in Basedth District, unite to enable the party to grow stronger further.
