His Excellency Senior Minister Ieng Mouly has stated that today, we eat Num Bonh Chok (Khmer-style) noodle soup for solidarity and peace. The soup is a traditional dish. We eat the noodle soup is not for playing politics as their partisan clique does. We want to show that we love traditional cultures. In the future, we want to elevate the noodle soup’s value into a tourism objective.
The remarks were made by the Senior Minister while attending the events of eating the noodle soup of solidarity and peace, held on June 9, 2019 at the Cambodian People's Party Commune office in Svay Rumpea and Pheary Mean Chey, which were participated by some 200 ladies and gentlemen, the heads, deputy heads, and members of the working groups assisting Barsedh District and its communes; village and commune chiefs; people’s militia; armed forces, and citizens.
The Senior Minister went on to say, this is to elevate the traditional national culture value. We do not paint as done by the oppositionists, who are bent on destroying peace. They are left with two options:
1. To join forces to strengthen democracy by taking part in elections to be held in 2022 and 2023, and
2. If they fomented rebellion with the intent of toppling the Royal Government contrary to the Constitution, leading to turmoil that affects peace, they would continue to suffer crackdown.
Afterwards, the Senior Minister enjoyed the noodle soup deliciously and pleasantly in the two above-mentioned events.
