
The National AIDS Authority celebrated the 108th International Women’s Day 8 March 2019 under the theme “Promoting Gender Equality and Social Protection for Human Resources Development” at Hotel Memoria Palace & Resort in Pailin on March 4, 2019.
This event was held under the high presidency of His Excellency Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority, and Lok Chumteav Tum Setha, with the participation of 94 leading managers and officials.
After listening to a deeply meaningful message from Samdech Preah Moha Ksatrei Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, the Queen Mother with Freedom, Dignity, and Happiness of the Cambodian nation, to the people on the celebration of the 108th anniversary of International Women’s Day 8 March 2019, Senior Minister His Excellency Ieng Mouly lauded all the Excellencies, Lok Chumteav, leading managers, and officials of the National AIDS Authority for their great contribution towards women’s development and gender equality promotion, enabling the fight against and response to HIV and AIDS to achieve substantial successes in the past.
His Excellency the Senior Minister stated to the ceremony attendees that the promotion of women’s participation in the response to the spread of HIV and AIDS was part of engaging in boosting the effectiveness to implement the National Social Protection Policy framework in order to ensure that no one is left behind and that every Cambodian woman and girl benefit from national economic growth.
