His Excellency Senior Minister Ieng Mouly Holds Working Meeting With Mr. Mark Edington, Head of Grant Management at Headquarter Global Fund Geneva

His Excellency Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority and Chair of the Coordinating Committee of the Global Fund for Cambodia, held a separate working meeting with a team of the Global Fund Headquarter Geneva headed by Mr. Mark Edington, head of the Global Fund Grant Management, at the National AIDS Authority headquarters on the morning of April 10, 2018.

During his visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia to attend the inauguration of the official implementation of the three-year assistance project for combating HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis between 2018 and 2020, Mr. Mark Edington held a working meeting with His Excellency Senior Minister, and he profoundly thanked him for his support in leading the coordinating efforts in allowing the Global Fund and the Royal Government of Cambodia to reach an agreement on the assistance project for fighting against AIDS and tuberculosis, which was inaugurated now.

His Excellency the Senior Minister deeply thanked the Global Fund working team and the delegation head for the visit, assistance for Cambodia in the fight against AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria in the next three years, and financial aid for combating the three diseases in the past.

His Excellency the Senior Minister also mentioned that, although its economy grew remarkably for almost two decades, Cambodia still needed the Global Fund’s assistance until it was able to purchase antiretroviral drugs and fund the fight against tuberculosis and malaria itself in the future.
