
On the morning of September 11, 2017 at Green Palace Hotel, H.E. Ieng Mouly Senior Minister, chair of the National Assembly presided over opening ceremony of workshop on cooperation and contribution of sub-national administration in responding to HIV/AIDS with policy framework of Village-Commune Safety within their local settings.
Having participated in the workshop there were Excellencies, Lok Chum Teav ladies and gentlemen from health sector and non-health sector as well as representatives of key population, USAID and Linkages project.
The aim of the workshop was to consult on potential contribution, cooperation and complement of each other among local administration, community and other relevant stakeholders to further achieve result of combatting with HIV transmission moving toward eliminating new HIV infection by 2025 and enhancing care and support services for people living with HIV.
It should be reminded that Cambodia has set policy target succeeding 95-95-95 by 2025. Currently it has achieved target of 90-90-90 along with 6 other countries worldwide. First Ninety percent (90%) of infected people tested and know their HIV status, secondly 90% of infected people (Living with HIV) get their antiretroviral treatment and the third is that 90% of those on treatment their virus load are undetectable.
