His Excellency Senior Minister Ieng Mouly leads delegation to attend AIDS conference in Paris

His Excellency Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority, led a delegation to attend the 9th International AIDS Society Conference 2017 (AIS 2017) in Paris, France, from 23 to 26 July 2017. This conference is organized by the International AIDS Society France and participated by some 6,000 participants who are national policy and strategy makers, medical researchers, AIDS patients, and civil society delegates from around the world to share experiences and new methodologies in the fight against AIDS.

Following his participation in the plenary meeting to listen to speeches presenting new AIDS research results, His Excellency the Senior Minister held working meetings with French Expert Jean Spiri, president of the Information Center on AIDS of the Ile-de-France region, and Antoine Peigney, director of the Department of Health of Expertise France. He also held a working meeting with Michele Boccoz, ambassador in charge HIV/AIDS and communicable diseases, attended by Dr. Eric Fleutelot, Bangkok-based representative of the French Government on AIDS in Asia-Pacific. His Excellency the Senior Minister discussed with the French side an AIDS information center planned to be set up at the National AIDS Authority Headquarters, the 5% Initiative that France has contributed to the Global Fund, and cooperation between France and Cambodia in the fight against AIDS.
