His Excellency Senior Minister Ieng Mouly presides over opening of consultative meeting of representatives and focal persons of Key Affected Population (KAP)

On the morning of May 30, 2017 at the Cambodia-Korea Cooperation Center, His Excellency Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority and of the Coordinating Committee of the Global Fund for Cambodia, presided over the opening ceremony of theconsultative meeting of the representatives and focal persons of key affected population (KAP), representatives of people living with the three diseases—AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria—and representatives of the Faith-Based Organizations (FBO).

The purpose of the meeting was to provide and share information with the representatives and focal persons of the population susceptible to the three diseases about the projects that the Global Fund has provided to Cambodia at present and from 2018 to 2020, with US$98.3 million in total financial aid, including US$41.5 million for AIDS, US$13.8 for tuberculosis, and US$43 million for malaria.

The senior minister also recalled the importance of the representation from the community sector and of the feedback mechanism to bolster the participation of the representatives of communities, CCC, KAP, PLWA, and FBO.
