H.E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Vice-chair of the National Working Group helping Kampong Speu Province and Chair of the National Working Group helping Basedth District, presided over a Meeting with primary and secondary school teachers
At the branch office in Basedth District of the Cambodia People’s Party on the morning of February 26, 2017, H.E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly. Vice-chair of the National Working Group helping Kampong Speu Province and Chair of the National Working Group helping Basedth District, presided over a meeting with about 300 primary and secondary school teachers.
H.E. Senior Minister warmly welcomed all the teachers attending the gathering and expressed gratitude to them for teaching and taking care of pupils and students at their respective schools as well as making contribution to the development of the education sector in Basedth District. H.E. Senior Minister highlighted the efforts made by of the Royal Government of Cambodia in sharply increasing teachers’ salary and setting up a timely and effective payroll system for all civil servants and retirees to enjoy a better living according to the Government’s actual capacity.
As a signatory to the Paris Peace Agreement on Cambodia of October23, 1991, H.E. Senior Minister asked the audience and the public to pay attention to the value of Peace and social stability. Without them, Cambodian development would not be realized and livelihood of people could not be improved. Certainly, we, Cambodian people, are not getting poorer as claimed by unbalanced and biased views that see things differently, not reflecting the truth about social development. Since 2016, Cambodia has been incorporated in the group of lower middle-income countries, and in 2030, Cambodia will be a higher middle-income country.
The Government has initiated many social security systems for employees and laborers who will have pension like civil servants, not just health care and occupational accident insurance. Finally, H.E. Senior Minister asked all the teachers to support and vote for the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP).
