H.E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly led CCC Ad-hoc meeting

On the morning of February 27, 2017 at the National AIDS Authority, H.E. Senior Minister IengMouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority and Chair of the Global Fund Country Coordinating Committee (CCC) headed an ad-hoc CCC meeting with presence of Committee members who are representatives from relevant Government Ministries/Institutions, representatives from WHO, UNAIDS, the donors Embassies, representatives of local community exposed to the malaria (project beneficiaries), Civil society, fund recipients and sub-recipients, Global fund controllers, Non-governmental organizations working in HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria as well as consultants responsible for developing proposals to the Global Fund. The objective of meeting was to examine in detail on grant proposal for malaria project for timeframe 2018-2020. It should be reiterated that the Global Fund was initiated by United Nations that aims to reduce morbidity and mortality of the three diseases: AIDS, TB and malaria that have killed and threaten life of millions people around the world. Decreasing of contribution to the Global Fund, modification inprerequisites and obligation and proposal formats and project operation arrangement adjusted by the agency as well as examining detailed projects` activities and process facilitation plan that need numerous dialogue to find feasibility and compromise for a better cooperation between operation institutions and the funding agency that will back implementation and achieve success of the projects combatting malaria in real situation of Cambodia while fulfilling the funding agency requirement. From 2018 to 2020, the Global Fund will provide 98 445 151 USD for Cambodia from which 43 034 953 USD will be allocated for malaria control program.
