H.E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly presided over Global Fund CCC Ad-hoc meeting

At 14:00, March 9, 2017 at the National AIDS Authority, H.E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chair of the National AIDS Authority and Chair of the Global Fund Country Coordinating Committee (CCC) headed an ad-hoc CCC meeting with participation of Members of the Committee, Representatives from relevant Government Ministries/Institutions, Representatives from WHO, UNAIDS, the donors Embassies, Civil society, Non-governmental organizations working in HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Local fund agents (fund checker) and consultants responsible for developing proposals to the Global Fund. The objective of meeting was to look at proposing fund request for resilient sustainable system for health (RSSH) and amended version of grant proposal for malaria project for timeframe 2018-2020. It should be reminded that the Global Fund was initiated by United Nations to cope with morbidity and mortality of the AIDS, TB and malaria that have killed and threaten life of millions people around the world. Declining of donors supports to the Global Fund, changes in grant preconditions and requirement and proposal submission formats and project implementation arrangement adjusted by the agency as well as examining detailed projects` activities and operation facilitation plan that need attentive consultation and discussion reviewing to find feasibility and agreement for good future cooperation between implementation institutions and the funding agency that will back implementation and achieving success of the project combatting with malaria and other diseases in real context of Cambodia and fulfilling the funding agency condition. From 2018 to 2020, the Global Fund will provide 98 445 151 USD for Cambodia from which 43 034 953 USD will be allocated for malaria control program.
