H.E Senior Minister Ieng Mouly presided over the 4th Global Fund CCC meeting (Mandate 2016-2017)

At 2:00 p.m., December 20th, 2016 at the National AIDS Authority (NAA) headquarters, the 4th meeting of Global Fund Country Coordinating Committee (CCC) was organized under the presidency of H.E Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chair of the NAA and the CCC. Participants attending the meeting were as following:

• Members of the Country Coordinating Committee (CCC)

• Representatives from relevant Government Ministries/Institutions

• Representatives from WHO, and UNAIDS

• Development Partners: Representatives from the Embassies of France, Germany, and the US

• Civil society, Non-governmental organizations working in HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Higher Education Institutions, and the Private sector. The main proposed agenda included:

1. Elect new vice chairs of the CCC quota from multilateral and bilateral Organizations and International non-governmental organizations

2. Presentation of new grant package approved for Cambodia for 2018 to 2020.

3. Update on implementation of Cambodia Global Fund Projects and facilitation

4. Progress and facilitation update of key population.

H.E. Chair warmly congratulated Dr. Liu Yunguo, WHO Representative in Cambodia that was elected as a vice chair of the CCC representing multilateral and bilateral partners. Based on recent decision made by the Global Fund Board, a grant package of 98 445 151 USD will be allocated for Cambodia to further combat with HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria from 2018 to 2020.

H.E Senior Minister renewed his profound gratitude to all participants from Governmental Ministries/Institutions, UN agencies, Development Partners, Civil Society and representatives of affected populations for their active contribution to discussions in the meeting.
