H.E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly led an Inter-Ministry Meeting

On the morning of December 22, 2016 at headquarter of the National AIDS Authority (NAA), H.E. Senior Minister Ieng Mouly, Chair of the NAA and Chair of the Global Fund Country Coordinating Committee (CCC) led an inter-ministry meeting to examine and discuss with relevant Ministries on funding cycle of the Global Fund (2018-2020). It is reminded that the Global Fund has planned to provide fund of 98 million USD for Cambodia to further combat HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria for 2018 to 2020. In addition to assistance from the Global Fund, the Royal Government of Cambodia has allocated national budget to contribute to purchase antiretroviral therapy drugs (ART) for people living with HIV and planned to bear cost of contracted staff working in Global Fund projects. After discussion, meeting has decided about the future candidacy for CCC Chair from 2018-2020. The meeting proposed to the Ministry of Economy and Finance to continue to provide fund to procure ART drugs for that period as the counterpart fund of the Royal Government of Cambodia for the Global Fund projects. H.E. Senior Minister NAA Chair expressed sincere thanks to representatives of the three Ministries for their participation and contribution to the meeting which was closed in spirit of friendship and good cooperation.
